“I was a bit disappointed at what we got for the price. One of the pump bottles in the shower didn't work so we had no shampoo. There were some bothersome cosmetic issues with the room like peeling wallpaper and cracked tile. It was a clean and modern room as expected but subpar for the premier location and price. The TV had no purpose as there were no channels on it - not even local antenna channels - and no Roku or other services to be able to watch even my own Netflix account. Wifi is unsecure with no password. There is only one ice machine in the building and it's on the 3rd floor which was not the floor we stayed on. Essentially, a bunch of minor inconveniences that added up to a thumbs down. I would not go back to this hotel. The only things that were positive were that we had a lovely young lady at check in, we were given free drink coupons for the lounge that evening, and the free breakfast until 10am included hard boiled eggs and fresh fruit. Otherwise it was just a place to lay our heads. The rooms don't even have a coffee maker.”

“I had such a great stay at The Chicago Hotel Collection Magnificent Mile Hotel & Suites. From the moment I walked in, everyone made me feel genuinely welcome. Kory checked me in and she was incredibly kind — patient, warm, and just overall amazing. Later on, when I needed to extend my stay, Raymond took care of everything quickly and with zero stress. Super helpful. The bar was another highlight. Drake, the bartender, is fantastic — friendly, attentive, and makes a great drink. He really added to the vibe. And I have to mention the owner. He was so kind and down‑to‑earth, took time to talk with me, and even gave me some great recommendations around the city. You can tell he truly cares about the guest experience. Overall, the staff, the energy, and the location made this an easy 5‑star stay. I’ll definitely be back and recommending it to friends.”

“To be honest, after I booked my rooms and then started reading the reviews, I was a bit worried. Some of the comments were quite negative, so I arrived at the hotel with mixed feelings. At check-in, I received vouchers for breakfast and for a drink at the rooftop bar on the 29th floor, which offers an incredible view of Chicago at night. As a matter of fact, it is one of the highest bars in the city. Because of the negative reviews I had read, especially regarding these vouchers and additional charges, I was very skeptical about using them. However, after checking out, I can honestly say that the hotel charged me exactly what had been agreed upon when I booked. Not a single cent more. I used both vouchers—one for breakfast and one for a drink—and I did not have to pay anything extra. The breakfast was actually one of the best I had during my trip, especially by American standards. I think many people overlook the fine print when booking. If you choose an extremely low room rate, additional fees may apply. I booked at the standard rate, so there were no unexpected charges at all. Based on my experience, I can confidently say that this hotel is excellent. Its location in downtown Chicago is fantastic, and most of the city's major attractions are within walking distance. The staff was professional, the room was comfortable, and everything worked exactly as expected. If I ever return to Chicago, I would definitely stay at The Chicago Hotel Collection Magnificent Mile Hotel & Suites again.”
